We are excited to share a major update on our journey! At the end of May 2026, WebOrbiton Uptime Monitor will be officially retired and replaced by StableSite Uptime.
This transition will allow us to offer you an even more powerful, reliable, and modern website monitoring experience. Below are the key details about what this means for you.
Sunset Announcement: WebOrbiton Uptime Monitor
Why the Change?
WebOrbiton Uptime Monitor was created to provide a lightweight, file-based monitoring solution (PHP and Cron jobs, no databases or VPS required). While this concept has been a great success, your needs are growing. To meet the demands of modern projects, we are launching StableSite Uptime, which offers:
· Improved scalability and performance through an optimized infrastructure.
· A modernized, intuitive dashboard, replacing manual file editing so you can manage your monitors directly from the UI.
· A new PHP and Cron-based engine that supports both file-based storage (JSON) and traditional SQL databases.

Will I need to reconfigure my monitors?
We have worked to make the transition as automated as possible so your settings are transferred seamlessly into the new dashboard.
Will StableSite Uptime still support shared hosting?
Absolutely. Keeping things lightweight and accessible is our core principle, and you can still run StableSite without VPS or databases, while retaining the new option to choose between JSON and SQL.
